- Active Frag - 29/04/2002
- Until yesterday, two of our members were still inactive.
However, last night, Newbie Commander Frag invited me to a game he was
having. It lasted an hour or so, and got him some confirmed
frags. Ironic that he's the first one to get
them...remember. There must be another Cool Cat Clan member
there to witness it, OR you must have a screenshot showing your score
(send the ENTIRE screenshot, please) OR you must've recorded a demo
for me to watch. Also, if you can get a person on an opposing
team to confirm your score that counts as well. I've put up a
page for editing your |-CC-| account at the member's area.
You'll need your password to access it. If you did not include a
password on the joining form, or the option was not there yet (the
form has been greatly revised) than you'll be receiving a temporary
one in your e-mail.

- I'm now known as CC_Green_Tiger on the zone instead of
CCC_Green_Tiger. This will help clear any confusion between us
and the Crazed Cahoots Company.

- Looking over the promotions I made a while ago, I noticed that my
math was WAY off, and I did the calculations the wrong way
around. I'm VERY sorry about this. That makes TKDMASTER,
Halcyon and Insanity all novices. That means that, according to
the double-rule of the trials criteria, they
must take the second trial. We'll schedule the trials over the
forum. We'll use the Bottom Feeder's Pub to schedule all trials
for low-rankers (that's you guys!) I'll give you a designated
time and if you can't make it, talk to me and we'll make arrangements
to meet on the zone. If you don't like playing on the zone we
can work out another way of playing, but until we get a cheap/free
dedicated clan server, the zone is our home.
- Virus Warning! -

- The Klez virus. It's restricted to e-mails and
computers. It doesn't touch websites, and it stays in your root
and temp directories. That's the only good news. It breeds
like a rabbit as soon as any anti-virus quarintines or deletes it and
it randomizes it's filenames. At the very least, there's 1 of
them on each drive, and sometimes there can be up to 4. It
spreads via e-mail, using your addressbook and a randomized subject
name. As near as I can tell, Outlook Express doesn't need to be
open for it to work. This is really bad, I got infected by
a fellow webmaster who had me on their addressbook. If I sent
any suspicsious e-mails to anyone, sorry, IT'S NOT REALLY MY
FAULT. The internet is still safe, just don't use Outlook
express at all, because that's the ONLY way it seems you can get the
virus, or copying an infected file of course, but it seems to just
replicate, although in the later stages it did infect my soundblaster
and even Norton software files. Just be careful. Until
it's passed over, use the forums at jedi-outcast.com
and OUR forums.

- It's not as good as the other hit counters that count how many times
a person has downloaded each file, but at least it lets me know if
people actually go there. I've also put one on this page and the
contest page.

- YES!!!! The latest version of the Green Tiger Multiplayer Pack
is up. It's amazing! Check out the filebase
RIGHT NOW!!!! I'll put up mirrors as soon as other sites put it
up there...It's a bit of a larger file if you're using dial-up, so be
forewarned. If YOU have any files you'd like on our filebase,
send an e-mail to me
about it, but not WITH it...my hotmail account will only hold a
limited amount of data before it's closed down... simply send an
e-mail detailing the file and we'll talk about the arrangements to get
it uploaded.

- Our <CC> tag has now officially been changed to |-CC-| because
the triangular brackets caused difficulty with some html code on other
site (HTML code uses < and > alot) So, sorry for the
inconvenience, but it's for the best. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE,
all members check out the contest page...it's
important.

- Friendly Status! -

- We have achieved (in my eyes) a friendly status with the Suicidal
Lifestyle Clan (Jedi Knight Division). They are a slightly
larger clan (10 people) with an equally cool page. They're not
only on the Clan listing page, but on the links too (thanks to their
friendly status). They are likewise adding a link to our site
and hopefully, this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship!
- Clan Server - 19/04/2002
- For now, I have failed in getting us a clan server...most of them
are too pricey for me, and as you know, I like doing things on the
cheap (sorta like George Lucas just previous to A New Hope's
release) Anyhow, I'm looking for a very cheap (preferably free,
good luck there) clan server. Until we can find one, most games
will happen on the Zone. In case someone wants to contact me
there, my zone name is CCC_Green_Tiger ( I made it before the tag
change) See you there!
- Promotions! - 15/04/2002
- Promotions! I promoted everyone who should've been promoted w
a while ago (due to posts) both Insanity and Halcyon are Disciples but
TKDMaster is a Major! Sorry about the delay. Remember,
this doesn't count points. Any frags you score when there is 2
or more Cool Cats in a game are tallied and added to the point
score. So play with some Cool Cat buds, set up a game, and go
beat up on Exedore...take care of him until I can get the Internet on
my better computer. Remember, I only announce your overall rank,
so if you think you should be ranked higher either you're lacking in
one area as far as stats go (in this case, frags) or I havn't gotten
to updating it.

- Sorry about the lack of updates...Jedi Outcast came out.
That's my only excuse and the only one I need many of you were
probably too busy playing it as well...to notice the lack of
updates. Big updates now. Check out the new filebase that I put up!
