"I am ready to face the trials."

-Obi-Wan Kenobi to Yoda and Jedi Council

Criteria

Trials are simple challenges that you must complete to get a higher trial level.  Your overall rank is the average of your trial rank, your forum rank and your point rank.  The person can ask to be tested, as long as his trial rank is not higher than his overall rank.  A trial will automatically be called for by the council when the person's overall rank is twice his current trial rank.  When this happens the rank is called because of a double-rule.   You don't necessarily have to be good to get a high rank.  The challenges are simple, and over time, you will accumulate enough points to get a high rank.  You must pass each trial to get to the trial rank they stand for.

I schedule all trials.  However, if you cannot make a trial, post a reply to the scheduling post at least 1 hour in advance.  If you do not reschedule, and do not show up within 2 minutes of the correct time, it is counted as a skip.  A skipped trial means -10 off your posts.  However, if you have less than 10 posts and skip a trial, it will result in a post demotion to '0 - Janitor'.

VOTING SYSTEM

For some of the below trials, almost everyone in the clan must participate, even if they don't want to.  Because of this, the voting system must be employed.  The Honor Guard vote on something.  Majority rules in this case, but then the decision goes higher.  Anyone in a rank lower than the Honor Guard votes for it.  If it passes by them, the ranks higher than the Honor Guard vote on it.  For some trials, when almost the entire clan is included, this is necessary, to make sure that more than half the clan can make it.

The number beside each rank is the vote value of that rank.  The higher the rank, the more valued your opinion is.  Therefore, it would take only 10 newbies voting against a leader (IE: me) to tie a vote.

1 - Newbie Trial - Joining

To become a Newbie, all you have to do is join the EZBoard and fill out our application form for new members.  You will be paired with someone with an overall rank of Veteran, or higher.  They will become your Master, your personal tutor and basically give you hints and tips for playing the game, and will show you the secret areas in certain multiplayer levels.  This allows the newbies to get into the game very quickly.

2 - Novice Trial - Master Kill

To become a Novice, you should have a Master assigned to you.  If one is not available at the time of the trial, you will be temporarily given one for the duration of it.  You must kill your Master a total of 10 times.  It doesn't matter how long it takes or high his score is, as long as you kill him 10 times.

3 - Disciple Trial - Master Killer

To become a Disciple, you must have a Master assigned to you.  You cannot enter this trial without a Master of your own.  You must choose either the Timed Master Killer trial or the Scored Master Killer trial.  Either way, it's not much tougher than the last one.  You still kill your Master at least 10 times, but in the timed Master Killer, you have 30 minutes to do it.  In the Scored Master Killer, he must have scored less than you.

4 - Veteran Trial - Your Apprentice

To become a Veteran, you must find choose someone below your rank who does not have a master.  You must have had at least 5 games with him/her and your overall rank must be Veteran.  Once that happens, your trial rank is raised to Veteran and the person you chose becomes your apprentice.  However, your master continues to tutor you.

5 - Major Trial - Master & Apprentice

To become a Major, you must go into a skirmish against your apprentice and your old master.  You must get 10 more points than their combined score.  When you have, you are promoted to Major, and your Master is removed from his assignment to teach you.  You apprentice stays under you wing until he has been promoted to this level.

6 - Honor Guard - Major Battle

To become part of the Honor Guard, you must have a battle with all the Majors in the clan.  In this deathmatch, the highest scorer wins the promotion to Honor Guard.  Only the people who ask to be tested, and fit the criteria will participate.  This is the one time where you cannot be forced to take the test, even if your overall rank is twice that of your trial rank.  Because of this, the Honor Guard is usually the main cutoff point for those who aren't as good players.

7 - Ice Cream Men - Guarding the Tiger

To become an Ice Cream Man, a master of insanity, you must guard the tiger from any harm.  The honor guard on one team, the entire clan (or whatever showed up) on the other.  The voting system will be employed to decide when the trial will take place. The tiger will usually of course be me.  However, if I cannot make it, I will not tell you to get stuffed, I'll simply appoint another one.  The tiger can only use a lightsabre OR force powers.  Not both.  So switch to that stun baton or turn off that powerful ally.  The game ends when the tiger has been killed 5 times, or after 2 hours.  If the tiger was killed 5 times, the highest scoring honor guard member is promoted.  Otherwise, if the game lasted for 2 hours, the four highest scoring honor guard members are promoted.

8 - Ice Cream Council - The Green Tiger's Lair

To become part of the Ice Cream council, you must face me, on my turf.  On a custom level that I'll make and that will only be given to the person just previous to their battle against me.  They have 5 chances each year. to do this trial correctly.  Otherwise, they are not allowed to go to a higher rank.  The level will be different each time.  I'll know my way around and you won't.  You must score 5 points higher than whatever my score is.  The trial will last until 2 hours.  If by then, the trial is incomplete, they have failed.  As I said, they can only fail 5 times before they are no longer allowed to take the trial that year.  When the next year comes around, I'll have a new set of five levels that will be completely new, and you may try yet again.

9 - Advisors - A Bloody Mess

To become an Advisor, you must participate in a Bloody Mess.  Almost all of the Ice Cream Council participates.  Only the people who ask to be tested, and fit the criteria will participate.  It is impossible to have an overall rank that is twice your trial rank at this point.  You can choose 'First Blood' or 'Last Man Standing' gameplay.  Each will have a completely different level linked to it, to make sure gameplay lasts a bit of a while but not too long.  First blood has the opponents spawn far away, near powerups, and with a healing room in the centre.  The first person to score (a POSITIVE number) wins.  In Last Man Standing, everyone spawns only once, and the last person alive wins.

10 - Leader - Ysalimiri

To become a leader, you must face off against a bot modeled off your stats, in a ysalimiri-infested swamp area.  This means there will be ysalimiri almost everywhere, and, seeing as it's a swamp, little weaponry, man-eating creatures and very dark.  Any other people who are leaders at that point (IE: Me) will also drop by, in an attempt to give you a run for your money.  The ysalimiri will be especially important; surprise attacks from behind will almost always be force lightning or choke or something like that.

This is a fan site for many games, and will likely have media, such as images and music, from those games.  These games include LucasArts' Dark Forces, Jedi Knight, and Mysteries of the Sith.  As well as Raven's Star Trek Elite Force and Jedi Outcast (also LucasArts).  As well as Max Payne which was done by Remedy, Godgames, and 3D Realms.  Squaresoft's Final Fantasy 6 and 8.  Nintendo's Mario RPG (also Squaresoft) and Legend of Zelda 3 A Link to the Past.  Microprose's X-Com: UFO Defence as well.  The media from these games has been taken without their consent, and therefore, if the holders of these rights wish me to remove media of theirs, I will.  However, until then, I'll be using their media because  these games are all amazing, and, in fact you should try them out.
